New Site for Valdres Invites Visitors to 'Explore Your Senses''

‘Explore your senses’ is the dominating theme for Simpleview’s latest site for the beautiful region of Valdres in Norway.

Valdres extends from the lush and water-rich valleys in the South to Jotunheimen’s spectacular mountain range in the North. With a huge range of activities available, from active to relaxing, the destination is an outdoor paradise all year round.  

The destination’s new green branding has been reflected in the colour scheme throughout the site and the full width display delivers real impact for the stunning video, imagery and content incorporated.  The site’s navigation has been simplified and a new hamburger menu introduced to deliver a cleaner, more spacious look and feel to the homepage.  

The new Featured Items functionality enables Visit Valdres to propel some of its most popular tourism assets into the spotlight including alpine skiing, snowboard and ski touring, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, birdwatching, dog sledding and horse sleigh rides.  The site’s ‘unique accommodation’ caters for all tastes, from boutique hotels to treetop cabins surrounded by nature.  Food is high on the agenda for the region too, with its rich food traditions and extensive summer farming in the mountains, enabling Valdres to offer some amazing local cuisine.

A map has been incorporated on the homepage to emphasise the destination’s central location and proximity to Fagernes, the region’s town centre (and popular starting point for many adventures), as well ease of access from some of Norway’s key destinations including Oslo, Bergen and Lillehammer.  The site’s content is available in Norwegian, German and English.
