Visit Dean Wye Prepares to Inspire Visitors to 'Find Your Freedom'

Simpleview’s stunning new site for the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley invites visitors to 'Find Your Freedom', get off the beaten track and recharge their batteries, something we’ll all be keen to do once the current restrictions start to be lifted.

Visit Dean Wye is the official DMO for the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, recognised by Visit England and Visit Britain.  The destination spans the three counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire.

The new site, www.visitdeanwye.co.uk, aims to encapsulate Dean Wye area’s core offer, built around historic borderlands castles, wild rivers and ancient forests.  The panoramic video on the homepage showcases its breath-taking landscapes to maximum effect, while the imagery incorporated throughout the site represents the diversity and quality of its attractions, accommodation and local food and drink offer.  A map graphic on the homepage conveys the destination’s proximity and accessibility to some of the UK’s major cities.

There’s no shortage of content in the Things to Do section, with inspiration for outdoor adventures galore including miles of pathways to walk or cycle, rivers to explore by canoe or kayak or more adrenaline pumping activities such as a high ropes, deep-level caving and off-road driving.  Online booking for accommodation features Polling functionality and direct booking via Supercontrol, Freetobook, TXGB and many more.

Commercialisation is also a key requirement for Visit Dean Wye so membership packages, listings and banner ads are all facilitated within an easy to manage framework to help to propel the area’s 300+ members into the spotlight during the recovery phase.

Sarah Orchard, Director of Visit Dean Wye comments: "Our Visit Dean Wye website is a vital asset in attracting our target visitors to the Dean Wye area.  It’s been a very difficult 12 months for all tourism and hospitality businesses but we felt it was vital to create a stronger marketing platform for our area and members.  The new Simpleview site provides the opportunity to showcase our area front and centre and provide an easy to use site to engage and inspire our visitors."
