The Simpleview team is immensely proud of the recently launched bespoke new site for Visit Isle of Man, which leaves the visitor in no doubt that the destination has something special to offer.

Located in the Irish Sea between the coastlines of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, the Isle of Man’s rich history, combined with its natural beauty, varied wildlife, outdoor activities, charming towns and villages and thriving food and drink scene offers a diverse, year-round experience for visitors.

The new site, www.visitisleofman.com has a bold, contemporary design, utilising impactful imagery and stunning expansive videos throughout for consistency with its positioning as ‘a place full of colour, contrasts and character’.  Instagram has been incorporated prominently on the homepage to showcase even more dramatic imagery.

In the early stages of recovery, the Isle of Man is pushing its ‘My Island Staycation’ proposition to encourage Manx residents to consider staying local for a family adventure, secluded getaway or just a change of scenery.  A great range of staycation accommodation offers, exclusively for Isle of Man residents (and now those visiting from Guernsey through the ‘air-bridge’, aim to offer an extra incentive for staying close to home during the recovery phase.

The site has some great content to inspire and aid the research and planning phase of the visitor journey too.  Visitors are invited to create their own ‘Extraordinary Story’ in a dedicated section which delivers the message that the Isle of Man has something to satisfy all interests, presenting content within 6 key themes, ie. Adventurer, Believer, Artisan, Discoverer, Explorer and Mover, each with accompanying video and audio.

A flight widget on the homepage demonstrates the accessibility of the Isle of Man by air from across the UK and Ireland, complemented by content which positions the destination as ‘closer than you think’.

The destination’s year-round offering features prominently, with compelling messaging aiming to entice visitors to consider short breaks throughout the year.

Angela Byrne, Head of Visit Isle of Man comments:

"As with most destinations, our website is the primary hub of visitor information and often the first port of call for those looking to find out what we offer. With technology moving so quickly and the increasing demand from visitors for enhanced information and a smoother user experience we felt it was the right time to revisit our website design. We are delighted with the outcome and it was great to work with the team at Simpleview throughout the process and be guided by them on how we best implement our ideas. There will always be ways to improve the site and we’re looking forward to working through ways to increase the interactivity and make it more of an immersive experience for our visitors."
