'Do It Your Way' Feature Lets Visitors Create the Perfect Itinerary

Simpleview has developed some great new functionality for the Visit Liverpool site, putting visitors in control of how they decide to experience the City.

Do it Your Way takes the basic principles of the itinerary builder but allows users to find their ideal ‘Liverpool Adventure’ by telling the site what type of experience they prefer (ie. Cultured, Indulgent, Adventurous, Excited and Relaxed) by sliding an emoji up and down a scale for each option.  A selection of customised experiences is then displayed, and users can invite friends to help plan trips or share their travel plans with friends and family.  

Mark Russell of Visit Liverpool comments: "We wanted to provide visitors with chance to take more ownership of their visit by letting them do it their way. The new website functionality allowed this to become a reality and we’ve seen a great response through personalised itinerary downloads on the website. The new itinerary builder is complimentary to the overall campaign which includes a variety of online and offline channels and has been fully endorsed by our network of partners in the city."
