Simpleview has won a contract to redevelop the destination site for Conwy County in North Wales.
Conwy County is more than just a visit to Wales’ finest medieval town of Conwy, complete with a world famous castle and ancient town walls. This is just the beginning. The county encompasses a whole host of towns and popular holiday resorts for visitors of all ages. ‘Beside the sea’ experiences extend from the classic charms of Victorian Llandudno to all the fun of the fair at places like Towyn & Kinmel Bay. A little further along the coast brings you to the charming and peaceful resorts of Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan, whilst Colwyn Bay delights water sports enthusiasts with its Watersports Centre offering tuition in sailing, windsurfing and power boating. Inland, the picturesque Conwy Valley is sandwiched between the mountains of Snowdonia and the open moors of Mynydd Hiraethog.
Simpleview developed the current website back in 2013 under the brand of Visit Llandudno. The destination now wants to develop a new promotional platform, incorporating the new Visit Conwy branding, to promote the county as a year round tourism destination.
Simpleview’s popular Tourism Pro solution will deliver increased functionality, dynamic features and visitor touch points to inspire and drive bookings. The new platform will also allow Destination Conwy to showcase their busy events programme, push interactive content and boost the promotion of its tourism providers.
The site is expected to launch in October 2019 to coincide with the destination’s 'Get Wrapped Up' Winter tourism campaign.
