The annual celebration of England's tourism, English Tourism Week takes place between 17th and 25th March so you can still get involved.
English Tourism Week celebrates the vibrancy and quality of England's visitor experiences and world-renowned tourist attractions. DMOs, tourism providers and TICs can all participate to kick-start the season and promote their unique offerings.
By getting involved in English Tourism Week you can:
- Help to raise the profile and understanding of decision makers, the media and those who work (or are considering working) in the tourism industry
- Motivate locals to explore the potential on their doorstep
- Entice visitors from further afield to discover the diversity that England offers
- Contribute to a national framework of destinations, businesses and organisations for the delivery of PR and marketing campaigns
- Exploit this free marketing 'hook' to leverage the value of your own campaigns
The VisitBritain website includes a range of resources to help you to get your English Tourism Week initiative off the ground. You can register your own event on the dedicated ETW events platform, access a free toolkit of logos and posters and use the hashtag #ETW18 within your social media campaigns to promote your events to locals, tourists and the media. There's plenty of tips and ideas for things to do too so go to the English Tourism Week pages of the VisitBritain website to find out more.
