New Sites to Position Nottinghamshire as a Top Destination for Tourism & Investment

Marketing NG, the official place marketing organisation for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has appointed New Mind | tellUs to help put the area firmly on the map as a top UK destination for both tourism and inward investment.

Under the contract, New Mind | tellUs will create new Invest and Visit websites for Marketing NG, using the destination's newly completed place brand identity.

The new Visit Nottinghamshire site will aim to increase visitor numbers and spending by boosting awareness of the area's extensive tourism offering. The site will highlight the attractions, accommodation and experiences available in the region, with a focus on the pioneering spirit of Nottinghamshire, embodied by legends such as Robin Hood, DH Lawrence and Lord Byron.

By showcasing Nottinghamshire’s credentials as a destination, where visitors can explore the UNESCO City of Literature in Nottingham, escape to a woodland cabin in Sherwood Forest or enjoy fantastic family theme parks, the site will inspire visitors.

The Invest in Nottingham site will raise the profile of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as a place to do business as well as extending the area's promotion to a wider market outside the region. The focus of the site will be showcasing Nottingham’s opportunities for businesses to invest and relocate, regeneration of the city and county, and the strength of the sectors which are based in Nottinghamshire.

The new sites will feature a fully responsive design and large inspirational imagery reflecting the new Nottinghamshire branding. The area's tourism businesses will benefit from the increased exposure resulting from improved page layouts and added functionality, such as the polling of OTAs for accommodation booking, social feeds (Twitter and Facebook) and TripAdvisor reviews, which will all be displayed at provider level.

The existing sites already enjoy high levels of visitor traffic, so the new sites are sure to build these audiences even further."

The new Invest and Visit sites will be launched later in the year.
