Visit Exeter's new website by New Mind | tellUs reflects the strengths of the city's product with its rich heritage and culture, high quality local food and drink, vibrant calendar of events, and a strong connection to the surrounding Devonshire countryside and coast.
New Mind | tellUs has been providing tourism expertise and technology to Visit Exeter since 2007, developing the previous destination site in 2011 under the Heart of Devon brand identity. The new fully responsive site, www.visitexeter.com is visually engaging, showcasing high quality images and video content to support Exeter's positioning as the city destination of choice. The Visit Exeter team has exploited the city's tourism assets, populating the home page with a whole range of themed experiences, highlights and events to entice visitors, whatever their age and interests.
Sophisticated search functionality makes it easy for visitors to explore the city, with a choice of list, map and grid views for search results delivering the optimum user experience and flexibility. Visit Exeter is the first DMO to implement the new What's Nearby Map View functionality from New Mind | tellUs, aiding the trip planning process. The site also features guest blogs, TripAdvisor reviews and polling for the first time.
A range of new income generating opportunities through business advertising and sponsorship of marketing campaigns have also been incorporated.
