Tourism Essentials Solution Proves to be a Hit for Destination Harstad

Following the success of its first site, built by New Mind | tellUs using the Tourism Essentials solution, the spectacular destination of Harstad has now launched a new site, with enhanced functionality and features, on the same platform.

Harstad is located in the North of Norway, in the Troms county.  Harstad's varied geography of mountains, lowland areas, islands, open sea and fjords positions the destination as a real adventure playground for outdoor enthusiasts.  Like its predecessor, the new site is a comprehensive resource for lovers of hiking, cycling, fishing, boat trips, skiing, cultural attractions and fantastic food from local producers. Visitors can find out more about the natural phenomenon, 'the midnight sun' between May and July when the area experiences 24 hours of daylight, not to mention Harstad's own natural light show, the Aurora Borealis.

Destination Harstad was the first New Mind | tellUs client in Norway to opt for the Tourism Essentials solution when the previous version of their site was launched in July 2015.  The solution has proved to be popular since, both in the UK and Scandinavia, not only due to its affordability but also the flexibility to add extra functionality as required.  For the new site, Harstad has opted to include Featured Items and the interactive map on the homepage, plus TripAdvisor integration.
