Visitors to Dorset Informed and Enticed by New-Look Site

The arrival of 2017 heralds a new look for Visit Dorset as a major redevelopment project is completed by the team at New Mind | tellUs.

Developed in 2009, the previous version of the site achieved significant success, generating over 2 million visits in the last 12 months and achieving a top 10 ranking for New Mind | tellUs destination sites in terms of visitor traffic.  

However, Visit Dorset was looking to future proof its digital strategy by implementing a solution which would meet the demands of the DMO and its partners for the next 3 to 5 years, without the need for significant upgrades or investment.

The resulting site, features a super-desktop contemporary design housing expansive imagery to reflect the destination's spectacular scenery and wealth of tourism potential.  The sleek new design is complemented by modern fonts and a wealth of fresh content, written in a welcoming and motivational style. 

Dorset's tourism businesses benefit too with the inclusion of a variety of exposure-boosting tools and functionality.  The 'Get Phone Number' button (requiring the visitor to click on the button) allows Visit Dorset to provide specific phone call statistics to their members to complement the 'website click throughs' and 'emails sent' data.  TripAdvisor reviews are also included for Dorset's providers and businesses can also embed their own social media.
