New Site for Newquay, the Nation's Favourite Seaside Resort

Categories: Our News

The team at Visit Newquay is delighted with their new look destination website, following its redevelopment by New Mind | tellUs and launch this week.
Voted one of the nation's favourite seaside resorts, Newquay is located on Cornwall's Atlantic Coast and is not only regarded as the surf capital of the UK but is also one of the top ten beach destinations in the country.

Since 2012 when the previous version of the site was launched, the teams at New Mind | tellUs and Visit Newquay have worked in partnership to improve its performance, achieving a growth of 230% in unique visitors between 2012 and 2015.  However a new responsive version, featuring all of the functionality that today's visitor demands was essential to allow Newquay to continue to flourish as a top tourism destination.
The team at Visit Newquay wanted a high impact design which would utilise bold and vibrant imagery to reflect the beauty and diversity of the destination. Newquay and the surrounding area boasts twelve golden beaches, is part of the 630 miles South West Coast Path and has a fascinating history, thriving towns and villages and an abundance of hidden gems, all of which now sit within the rich visual context of the new site.
The site also needed to represent an attractive proposition to Newquay's tourism providers,  offering an unrivalled range of flexible opportunities to highlight their businesses in the Accommodation, Food and Drink and What's On sections.
Susan Deakin of Visit Newquay comments "Everyone at Visit Newquay has enjoyed working with the Team at New Mind | tellUs. This is the second time we have worked together. We found the staff to be very helpful, making the new website build hassle free with their friendly professional approach.
We are really pleased with the new website. Our aim was for the site to look clean and user friendly. I feel it has achieved both. We think the larger images showcase Newquay to its full potential
