Job Purpose

To support the Group Financial Controller in ensuring financial and management accounting needs are met.

Responsible to: Group Financial Controller

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales

  1. Give support to the management of the Sales ledger function – raising and posting invoices insuring nominal code integrity, appropriate back up gathered for control purposes, and the control of invoicing triggers.
  2. Solving queries raised by clients, account mangers etc.
  3. Sending Customer Statements
  4. Daybook Report Tracking

Domain renewals

  1. Ensure all domains are renewed on time and billed to the customer.

Statistical reporting for various products

  1. Maintaining and updating various spread sheets, web stats, timesheets etc.

Management of credit cards/expenses

  1. Ensure credit cards/expenses are balanced back to our accounts system – sage with the correct order of receipts to be report back to the FC.
  2. Aiding the FC in ensuring the integrity of all Financial Accounting Systems – Sage, SIM and associated tracking spread sheets.

Assisting FC in monthly management accounts.

  1. Stationary/office stock control
  2. Produce ad hoc variance analyses as requested by Financial Controller.

Skills Required

  • AAT Minimum Level 2/QBE. 
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines. 
  • ;Accuracy – Given the complexity of the sales ledger function, a high level of accuracy is essential.
  • System skills – fully conversant with Sage line 50 or 100, Excel and other mainstream Office packages. (Training can be given)
  • Good team player.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Advanced problem solving skills/Initiative – able to question processes, consider possible solutions to challenges presented and outline to the Financial Controller the suggested appropriate course of action.
